 Hello, guys!

Another interesting lesson I learned today in my English class was about gerunds. I learned that a gerund is the -ing form of a verb that functions as a noun in a sentence.

CONVERSATION 1:

Lily: I’ve been thinking about using the long weekend to try cycling around the city. It could be a fun way to explore!

Mark: That sounds great! I’m planning to do some gardening at home and maybe clean up the yard. It’s been a while since I did that!

Sophia: Ooh, I love that idea! I’m thinking of spending my long weekend writing. Maybe I’ll work on my novel.

Lily: That sounds wonderful, Sophia! I’ve also been thinking of doing some dancing at home. It helps me stay active and energized.

Mark: I might join you for the dancing party! I’ve been planning a little trip for the long weekend too. Just a short getaway to the mountains.

Sophia: That sounds amazing, Mark! I’ve been planning to do some singing at a karaoke night with my friends. I think I deserve a little fun after all the work.

Lily: You definitely do! I’m thinking I’ll try something new—maybe even start singing lessons! It could be a perfect way to use the extra day off.

Mark: I love that idea! Maybe we can all try something new during the long weekend—cyclinggardeningsinging, or whatever we feel like doing!

CONVERSATION 2:

John: I’m so hungry! What do you feel like ordering for dinner tonight?

Sarah: Hmm, how about some pizza? I’ve been craving it.

John: Sounds good! I’m thinking of adding some pasta to the order too. I’ll probably get the spaghetti.

Sarah: I’m definitely getting some garlic bread. And maybe we can also order a salad to balance it out.

John: Great idea! Oh, have you tried cycling to that new pizza place? It’s a nice ride, and you get to enjoy the weather.

Sarah: I haven’t yet, but I’d love to try! Maybe this weekend I can go cycling there.
John: You should! I’ve been spending more time gardening lately. It’s a great way to relax after work.

Sarah: That sounds so peaceful. I’ve been doing a lot of writing in my free time, trying to finish my short story.

John: That’s awesome! I should try dancing more to unwind. It’s such a fun way to stay active.

Sarah: I agree! Maybe after dinner, we can put on some music and do a little dancing in the living room.

John: Haha, that sounds like fun! But for now, I’m just excited about this pizza. Let me place the order.
